The MAD-EX R1 Universal Race Muffler brings the craftsmanship and distinctive design of our high-end performance exhaust systems to a universal slip-on muffler.
Originally developed as part of our CP3 Performance Exhaust, the R1 is now available separately for custom exhaust builds, race bikes and riders looking for something different from a mass-produced silencer.
Every muffler is completely handcrafted in Europe using premium stainless steel. Its distinctive shape is finished with a high-quality full-carbon end cap, combining raw stainless steel with carbon fibre for a unique and purposeful look.
The complete design was created by Bruno Carmo, Head of Design at MAD Exhausts. From the shape of the stainless steel body to the sculpted carbon outlet, every detail has been developed specifically for MAD-EX.
This isn’t a generic universal muffler with our logo added to it. It’s a MAD-EX design, built by hand from start to finish.
Sound & Performance
The R1 is designed as a free-flowing performance muffler, delivering a deep and aggressive race-inspired exhaust note while allowing the engine to breathe freely.
Its compact construction makes it particularly suitable for high-performance motorcycles, custom exhaust systems and projects where both sound and appearance matter.
The same muffler design is used on our Yamaha MT-09 CP3 Performance Exhaust, where it forms the final stage of our handcrafted performance system.

What’s Included
Each MAD-EX R1 Universal Race Muffler comes complete with:
- 1 × MAD-EX R1 stainless steel & carbon muffler
- 1 × Support bracket
- Mounting springs
Everything needed to integrate the muffler into a compatible exhaust setup is supplied with the muffler. Depending on the motorcycle and existing exhaust system, a model-specific link pipe or adapter may still be required.
Universal Fitment
The MAD-EX R1 is designed for universal motorcycle exhaust applications.
It is ideal for naked bikes, sport bikes, café racers, custom motorcycles and one-off exhaust builds. Depending on your motorcycle and existing exhaust system, an adapter or custom link pipe may be required.
