THE ORIGIN

A legacy carried forward

MAD was founded in 2017 by Daan Borsje and Wouter van Egmond, two motorcycle enthusiasts who had spent years building and modifying motorcycles and other machines together. After Wouter van Egmond passed away in March 2017, Daan continued MAD in his memory: original ideas, motorcycles that are ridden and attention to detail.

In 2019, Wouter Buningh joined Daan as a business partner, expanding the system range and the number of supported motorcycle models.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND MAD

A small team, accountable for the result

MAD combines motorcycle experience, specialist fabrication and a design-led approach. The people developing the systems work directly with the motorcycles, the product range and the fitment questions that reach the workshop.

From motorcycle to finished system

    Fitment first

    The platform, motorcycle model, model year and mounting points are verified.

  2. 02

    Design around the motorcycle

    Pipe routing is shaped around the engine, chassis, clearances and intended character.

  3. 03

    Fabricate by hand

    Components are formed, fitted and welded by specialist exhaust fabricators.

  4. 04

    Check before dispatch

    Fit, mounting points, finish and the ordered configuration are checked before dispatch.
